It’s the first day of summer! The sun is shining over us, our skin is tanning, and our thoughts are starting to gravitate towards some delightful refreshments.
During the summer – formally known as Party Season – people love to pamper themselves with both non-alcoholic and alcoholic refreshments. Unfortunately, most of these don’t compliment any desirable summer diet very well, as they contain significant amounts of alcohol and sugar. That’s why we’ve prepared a list of seven super fresh and healthy summer cocktails that can help you cool off from your hot summer adventures.
We will start you off with four tasty and easy-to-make non-alcoholic options and then introduce you to our three alcoholic temptations.
1. Fresh Lime Soda

The fresh taste of lime energizes your body and helps you overcome the feeling of laziness, brought on by the summer heat.
Ingredients:
✔️ 1 Cup refrigerated lime juice
✔️ 1⁄3 Cup hone
✔️ 3 Cups club soda
✔️ Crushed ice
✔️ Mint leaf for garnish (optional)
Preparation:
✔️ Mix lime juice and honey together until the honey dissolves.
✔️ Add the club soda and stir lightly – just to mix.
✔️ Place crushed ice in 4 glasses and pour the soda over it.
✔️ Garnish with mint leaves and serve at once.

2. Strawberry Lemonade

Delicious, easy to prepare and healthy! What more could you want from a summer drink?
Ingredients:
✔️ 2 Cups fresh strawberries
✔️ 3/4 Cup freshly squeezed lemon juice, about 5 lemons
✔️ 1/2 Cup agave
✔️ Chilled Water (we used distilled)
✔️ 1 Extra lemon, thinly sliced
Preparation:
✔️ Blend strawberries, agave and lemon juice.
✔️ Strain juice through a sieve if you prefer the pulp to be removed.
✔️ Pour juice into a 1/2-gallon pitcher.
✔️ Add slices of lemon, fill with chilled water.
✔️ Pour over some ice.
✔️ Garnish it the way you like.

3. Grapefruit Ginger Smoothie

This drink is extremely beneficial to your immune system. It revitalizes your body and provides you with an amazingly fresh citrus taste.
Ingredients:
✔️ 1 Pink grapefruit (large)
✔️ 1 Carrot medium, peeled
✔️ 2-inch fresh ginger
✔️ 3-4 Medjool dates to taste
✔️ 1 Cup probiotic yogurt
✔️ 1 Tsp. maca powder
✔️ Chia seeds for topping
Preparation:
✔️ Peel the grapefruit.
✔️ Remove all the bitter inner skin and seeds with your hands.
✔️ Put all the ingredients into a blender, and blend until smooth.

4. Virgin Banana Daiquiris

This is a gluten and sugar free, vegan-friendly drink that even your children can enjoy.
Ingredients:
✔️ 2 Medium-Sized Ripe Bananas (cut in chunks)
✔️ 2 Tsp. Lime Juice
✔️ 1 Tsp. Rum Extract
✔️ 1/2 Cup Cold Water
✔️ 6 Large Ice Cubes
Preparation:
✔️ Blend all ingredients until frosty smooth!
✔️ Pour into two glasses and garnish it the way you like.

5. American Light

A perfect, low-alcohol drink for your summer groove
Ingredients:
✔️ 1 ½ Oz. Punt e Mes
✔️ 1 ½ Oz. Aperol
✔️ Club soda and orange or lemon twist (for serving)
Preparation:
✔️ Combine Punt e Mes and Aperol in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
✔️ Stir until outside of shaker is frosty, about 30 seconds.
✔️ Strain into a highball glass filled with ice and top off with club soda.
✔️ Garnish with an orange or lemon twist.

6. Wine Spritzer

An easy-to-make alcoholic drink for all the wine lovers out there. Buckle up, it’s cocktail o’clock!
Ingredients:
✔️ 3 Oz. aromatic white wine
✔️ (Such as Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, or Gewurztraminer)
✔️ 1 Oz. club soda
✔️ Dash of orange or lemon bitters
✔️ 1 Orange or lemon twist
Preparation:
✔️ Pour wine into a wineglass filled with ice.
✔️ Top off with club soda and bitters.
✔️ Garnish with an orange or lemon twist.

7. Sparkling Tarragon Gin Lemonade

Oh, it is lemonade! But with gin…
Ingredients for 6 servings:
✔️ 10 Large sprigs tarragon
✔️ 2 Lemons, thinly sliced
✔️ 2 Tsp. honey
✔️ ¾ Cup gin
✔️ ¾ Cup St-Germain
✔️ 1/3 Cup fresh lemon juice
✔️ 1 12-ounce can club soda
Preparation:
✔️ Muddle tarragon sprigs, lemon slices, and sugar in a large pitcher.
✔️ Add gin, St-Germain, lemon juice, and club soda.
✔️ Add ice and stir to combine.
✔️ Serve over ice.
